Budget Spreadsheet

Here is an explanation for the following spread sheet. Think of it as a "matrix" with potential items listed down the left side. Three different cost columns are listed along the top (along with comments.) The first column lists the new/retail cost of my "ideal" item where "ideal" is defined as what I'd like to get for this specific project. The second column is a "low cost" option if a person is trying to save as much money as possible. The third column is what I actually purchased (or plan to purchase) for this project.

A cell that contains a price, indicates the item and cost chosen for that particular approach (ideal, minimal cost, or actual.)

My goal is to try to save as much money as possible, but still get new or newish quality parts. Of course it might be possible to recycle a person's existing equipment or buy really used stuff to save even more money.

At the bottom, there are totals for each cost column which give you an estimated project cost for each column/approach.
